On TitanFile, subscription administrators and owners have the option to give users specific permissions, such as subscription rights, channel rights, and limited user rights.

What is a Limited User?

A limited user is a licensed TitanFile user who cannot create channels. Limited users have all other functions of a licensed account.

Limited User Use Cases

It's important to know when the best case to assign limited user rights is. There are several use cases that it addresses:

1. Do not want users to create channels ad-hoc

2. Administrators want complete control over channel/workspace creation, limited to approved and specific users.

How to assign a limited user in 3 simple steps

Once you've followed the normal steps of assigning a license within your subscription (to your limited user), here is how to change their rights:

1. Navigate to the 'Options' tab and select 'Manage Users'

2. Under the 'Members' section, select the edit icon beside the user

3. Check off the 'Limited User' box and press 'Save'

Voila! You have created a Limited user.
